getting rid of one hell of a trojan horse and virus (please help!!!)?

I have multiple trojan horses and viruses. Since my computer is fairly new, I have no "paid for" versions of virus scanners, virus removal programs, etc. Symantec was already on my computer, and since I’ve gotten the worms, my screen is flooded with "scanning email 1 of 1" the a few seconds later theres a message saying it couldnt be sent "spam, malicious attachments, etc) I never sent them. My task manager (ctr alt del) has been disabled by the worm, because I am not detected as administrator anymore. Also on the start menu there is no control panel or my documents sections. The rapid emails being sent slow my computer down too much to be able to access the internet, or get paid for protection. I am running, and only running, Windows XP on it. I am n desperation, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also this is on my laptop, I am doing this via my desktop so this is how I can access the internet and everything.
The internet is extremely slow, so I cannot download any AV programs. I disabled the internet so the emails would stop flooding at least. Thanks for the time though

  1. These days you need a whole lot more than just a virus protection. Only about 15% of all malware is viruses. The rest is worms, trojans, phishing schemes, spyware, etc.

Here’s some ideas to make Internet Security Suite (securitycenter) for free. Free is always the best.

    ————————————–…

    1. For your Anti-Virus……(Always use only 1 A-V…You must NEVER use more than one anti-virus, Even an expired anti-virus can cause a major conflict…(did I mention that you MUST uninstall any old anti-virus products?)

For your anti-virus needs, I would suggest Avira AntiVir® PersonalEdition Classic. It has excellent heuristics, a virus detection rate that is better than many of "paid-for" anti-virus programs and is light on using your computer’s resources. And did I mention that it’s free!

    Download here:
    http://www.free-av.com/

Avoid an anti-virus called AVG (free version). It is wildly popular but has poor virus detection rates.

    ———————————-

    2. For your Anti-Adware and Anti-Spyware needs……………(use at least 1 anti-spyware, but 2 is OK). Do a scan with it on a regular basis.

    SUPERAntiSpyware:

    ————————————–…

    3. For your Firewall……….(Always use only 1 software firewall)

A decent free firewall is Comodo Firewall Pro 3.0.21.329.

It is one of the few free firewalls that will work (and work well) on Vista as well as XP and 2000.

    http://www.comodo.com/

    ————————————-

    4. And to help protect your computer from ever getting infected with malware in the first place………… (use them both)

SpywareBlaster helps to immunize your computer again certain selected malware.:

SiteAdvisor warns you when visiting a potentionally malicious web-site:
    http://www.siteadvisor.com/

    ———————————–

    5. And always keep your Windows and all your installed software 100% updated and patched with all critical and security updates from the vendors THIS IS A MUST! In Internet Explorer just click Tools then Windows Updates.

Here is a little online (no download) security tool called The Secunia Software Inspector, that checks a computer for un-secure, un-updated and un-patched apps that may be installed on your computer.

The Secunia Software Inspector checks for possibly vulnerable programs like Adobe, Winamp, Java, Windows, Internet Explorer etc. and notifies if critical security updates are needed. !

Will work using IE, Opera or Firefox.

    Use it once a month.

    Pretty cool and free at:

    Great luck! Enjoy!

  2. Can you restart the PC using Safe Mode?
I would suggest a complete format and reinstall since you can’t do anything anyway.

  3. Try a copy of AVAST and spybot search and destroy. But if you can not gain admin access you are out of luck. You may have to reinstall.

  4. Download the microsoft malicious software removal tool on your pc, put it on a usb stick or cd and run it on your laptop.

    Hope that helps

  5. Download AVG anti-virus and install. Run a scan, and it should get rid of those nasty viruses. It’s one of the top rated free anti-virus softwares.

    Heres a download ==> http://www.download.com/AVG-Anti-Virus-Free-Edition/3000-2239_4-10320142.html?tag=pop.software&cdlPid=10834624

I use these programs to clean friends computers.
Just for the record, I have no connection to any of these companies.
I just think they make good, free, and effective products.

Spybot Search and Destroy, to remove spyware.
    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/mirrors/index.html
Avgfree 8.0 anti virus AND anti spyware.
    http://free.grisoft.com/ww.download?prd=afe
Avira antivirus, install update, and run(dont use both AVG and Avira, pick one)
    http://www.avira.com/en/pages/index.php
Windows defender antispyware, install, update, and run
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=435BFCE7-DA2B-4A6A-AFA4-F7F14E605A0D&displaylang=en

Zonealarm is a good free firewall product.
    http://www.zonealarm.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp
Combofix can often remove bad programs no others can.
    http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/sUBs/ComboFix.exe

Also, if you switch to Firefox as a web browser, it will be
harder for the bad stuff to get into your pc in the first place.
    http://www.firefox.com

Startup in safe mode, use msconfig to stop all programs from startup. Then try to download spybot first and do full scan with it…do the others after that.

Okay mate, you’re at a stage where you can’t look back, it is almost impossible to get rid of multiple viruses while they are on your computer, because they run off your CPU.

The only think you can do now, is to back up ALL your folders, and files before the actual viruses get personal, and actually hard your Hard drive and so on.

Start up your computer, and continuously press F8 do not stop until the Black Screen shows the options on how you want to run Windows XP.

Select Safe Mode, and from there i need you to back up ALL the files and things you need. Make sure you do this using a Hard Drive (External), i don’t believe Safe Mode allows you to burn CD/DVD’s.

When that is all done and you have gotten all your files backed-up the only thing you can do is send the computer to a store to get it "Formatted" or maybe you have the Windows XP CD and can install it, if you have the CD, post another question on "How to install Windows XP" and i’ll help you out.

In the end it is IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of all the viruses at this point, just flush out your system mate.

It only costs 100 dollars and it’ll be better and faster than ever!

    Cheers & Best of Luck
