Grayware/Spyware/Malware removal?? Adw_adultbrows.b?
My friend’s computer was acting up so I told him to do a scan on housecall65.trendmicro.com, a free online virus scan that one of my friends told me to try once. I have used this before and it deletes whatever it finds no problem. Well my friend told me that the infections it found were "ADW_AdultBrows.B" & then the cookies. I told him to click clean and remove for both of them. When I talked to him later he told me that it said " Some infections of this grayware/spyware could not be removed automatically! Complete removal of the grayware listed below failed…." There wasn’t any other information of how to remove this grayware/spyware, so I was hoping that someone could help me?! Is there any free online scans? or anything free to download and scan to get rid of it? Please help me help my friend. This has got me stumped. THANKS!
He has windows defender right now, should I remove that if I am downloading the Spyware Doctor Starter Edition for him? Also, he has AVG free edition as his virus protection, is this one okay or is there something else that is free out there that I should try for him instead?
1. Download and run firefox to protect your from future spyware attacks and pop ups which are coming in through internet explorer (Trojan downloaders, win32 ) .Then update your windows through firefox
