How do I get the trojan.vondu virus off my computer when the removal tool I downloaded does not work.?

The removal tool says it has been removed but Norton Anti Virus says it is still there. The Alert screen cannot be closed.

  4. i have had that with norton one of the many downfalls of norton.also b4 removal did u shut off system restore,when sys restore is on there is a residual put in the C:volume/restore folder and CANNOT be removed
