If you download it, it removes the red screen but installs more ad downloading software in the background. If you do a 3 finger salute (hold the Ctrl + Alt keys down and then click once on the Delete key) and then click the Performance tab you’ll see frequent instances of 100% CPU usage. Last time I got this I had to rip windows out after 3 days of frustration trying to remove it. It just keeps changing it’s name and re-installing itself when you re-boot.

Hey, so my computer seemed to have picked up this annoying little bug.
I tried downloading and installing malwarebytes, it let me download it but won’t let me run setup in order to install it (anytime I run it, the virus starts running as av.exe in processes and the setup never comes). It won’t let me run Spybot S&D either. It let’s me run HijackThis, but it won’t let me run HJT as administrator and therefore I cannot get a log that I can post. It will not let me run Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer from clicking the icons. In order to get on the internet, I need to go to Run -> www.google.ca.
So, any suggestions on how I can get rid of this? I have tried all of the "manual self-help remove it by doing this" sites, but I cannot find any of the files in the registry or on my computer.

Managed to run System Restore, but it said "An unspecified error occured and system was not able to restore" and then like 10000 copies of av.exe started running.
I’ve been getting persistent random popups and my computer has been running slowly. I have two good spyware/virus removal programs. avast! and spyware doctor. Avast doesn’t even detect it. Spyware doctor does and claims to have removed it but i keep having the problem. And everytime I scan it keeps coming up.
It’s getting on my nerves.

I had a virus on my computer that McAfee was not detecting. It was that Antivirus 1 that says you have all these infected things on the computer, but really you dont. I read here on yahoo answers that i should download malwarebytes, so i downloaded it and it scanned my computer and had 200 something infected files. Now my McAfee is picking up the malwarebytes program as a trojan??? Is it a virus or am i supposed to delete mcafee and only have one viruse scanner so it wont interfere with the other?? thanks in advance
