First, do not panic. Calm down. Breathe in and out. Then go to onecare.live.com. They (A service run by Microsoft) give free scanning and maintanence.

If you want a direct link click here: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

    Hope this helps.

  3. Windows Defender is my personal favorite. It’s free from Microsoft.

You have infected with a typical Smitfraud infection. You may follow these steps to remove the infection:

  5. spybot search and destroy and AVG antivirus/antispyware free

  6. The previous answer is correct…BUT…at cnet and zdnet have many FREEdownloads such as win patrol, ad-aware,and avg they are all compatable and make your p like Ft. Knox….in other words they won’t get ib (spyware or virus) .

  7. I actually had the same problem as you, major malware issues, and Ad-Aware removed 677 malware items….. I had no idea my computer was that infected, but it cleared them all out with no problems! & its free! Big plus!
