Spyware removal , what is "hqnelqqn.dll"?
I had a spyware "pmkji.dll on my PC. I just ran VirtumondoBeGone.exe, and it seems it removed "pmkji.dll", I ran Spybot search & destroy, and norton antivirus, and my system seems to be clean. The only problem I have is that after I rebooted my PC, I get a message which read " Error loading c:\windows\system32\hqnelqqm.dll the specified module could not be found. Is there is a way to fix this, Please can you help me how, I am running windows xp, and every thing else seems to be running just fine, and I only get the message when it start windows. Thanks
Go to Start, Run and enter msconfig. Look at the Startup files first. Disable (deselect) any startup programs (one at a time) that you know you don’t want running at startup or are not sure what it is. Restart the PC. If the error message is gone – that item was the cause.
After the startup items click the Services tab. Select Hide all Microsoft Services. Look through this list and disable (one at a time) any that look ‘suspicious’. Reboot.
Some spyware removal programs sometimes removes important files that shouldn’t be removed.Use system restore to restore your computer back to a point to when it was working good,click start,click control panel,click performance and maintenance,click system restore and choose a date to when your computer was working good.I use microsoft windows malicious software removal tool.first update your microsoft update by clicking start,point to all programs,scroll up to microsoft update and click express.,after updates are installed restart your computer.When your pc is finished loading all your programs then click start,click run and type mrt in the box and click ok,click run full system scan.
