Spyware won’t allow anti-spyware sites to load!?

Antivirus Xp 2008 installed on my computer, but I got it off. Now, my internet and google have been hijacked by the same spyware (it might be CoolWebSearch). When I try to visit any anti-spyware site or download spyware removal, it won’t load the page. And even my Norton application won’t load. Any advice?

  1. Use AVG 8.0 to remove it and Spybot to keep it away.

you need AVG 8.0 to get rid of it and spybot to keep it away and you can get both of them at download.com on the front page right site. they are the best and they are free if this can not be done then there is a second opinion search for anything that might say either cool- or anti- and delete it. you may want to try this first.

  3. try online scan

  4. Antivirus programs will NOT remove this as it is a malicious codec, they may in som einstances find reference to it and remove it, but upon reboot it’s back again.

if those answers don’t help then you need access to another computer and a usb drive (maybe you can run them live of a burned cd too)

you may need to install some anti virus program and anti spy ware programs onto a usb drive ( they are cheap now i got a 4 gb data traveler for 20 bucks Canadian) and run the programs from the drive . . ask a geek friend to help you as it would be very hard to tell you how to do this

    good luck and take care

to get rid of it check this page out or google your problem ( Antivirus XP 2008 )

remember to scan most files you download off of any P2P sites ( especially jpegs docs and exe files) like limewire or emule or bittorent sites as i always do )

  6. I had antivirus xp 2008 and at first i thought it was okay until i kept getting popups and my background turned to a blue screen. I googled a removal process and followed this http://www.pchubs.com/blogs/antivirusxp-2008-removal-process-remove-antivirus-xp-2008. Others have posted comments on what to do but mine actually worked to remove antivirus xp 2008. that should work for you too!
