A program has installed itself on my laptop and is forcing me to buy an anti virus. How can I get rid of it. It is called Your Protection. It keeps blanking out my screen. Can anyone suggest a free way to remove this annoying program?

I’d like to know what the best virus/malware/trojan/worm/spyware/whatever removal is.

Also I’d like to know what the best anti-virus is. I’m not in the market for ONLY free programs. I’m just in the market for the best hands down.

Is the scan and removal seperate from the anitvirus? that’s fine.. I’m not lazy.

Also any advise as far as firewalls go would be nice too! I really want to get my computer locked down and safe.

I have alot of trojan viruses in my pc. I have tried downloading alot of anti virus sights but it scan for them and tells me i have to subscribes to remove the viruses. Is there any site that will remove them for free without registering??

I have a Sony Vaio with Windows Vista. My anti-virus and spyware programs expired and now I have a lot of trouble with my laptop-it barely works when I turn it on and when it does work it runs incredibly slow. Any free programs I can download to fix this problem. If I use a recover disc will it delete all of the viruses and work properly again?
I’d rather download something to fix it, but if the recover disc will be the 100% solution I’m willing to try it.
