I have multiple trojan horses and viruses. Since my computer is fairly new, I have no "paid for" versions of virus scanners, virus removal programs, etc. Symantec was already on my computer, and since I’ve gotten the worms, my screen is flooded with "scanning email 1 of 1" the a few seconds later theres a message saying it couldnt be sent "spam, malicious attachments, etc) I never sent them. My task manager (ctr alt del) has been disabled by the worm, because I am not detected as administrator anymore. Also on the start menu there is no control panel or my documents sections. The rapid emails being sent slow my computer down too much to be able to access the internet, or get paid for protection. I am running, and only running, Windows XP on it. I am n desperation, please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also this is on my laptop, I am doing this via my desktop so this is how I can access the internet and everything.
The internet is extremely slow, so I cannot download any AV programs. I disabled the internet so the emails would stop flooding at least. Thanks for the time though

today i copied some files from my lap top to a usb storage device later when scanned on another laptop with northon anti virus it is found that two files (autorun.exe and another ) as virus (trojan horse) it might come from my computer but my antivirus is not detecting that virus how can i remove that virus from my compuer my AVG is a new one

I’ve had my new laptop for about 2 yrs. I had anti-virus protection for both yrs along with constant updates by Microsoft. Here’s the thing I never download anything. I installed Office with a CD and download adobe products such as acrobat reader, flash and shockwave player. Other than these stuff ive never downloaded anything. The only websites I go to are CNN, Yahoo websites, Google gmail, wikipedia, youtube, hotmail, Stanford (college website), and some research on google for classes. I never download anything and most college/work related research/projects i do in a library (less distracting). I ran a virus scan everyday for 2 yrs and never got a virus.

I was told to download spyware from at&t. I don’t know what they r talking about. I need FREE spy ware, fire wall and any other type of protection for my laptop any suggestions? My Mcfee expired can’t afford to pay renewel. Any advise welcome and appreciated

Ok like i’m going to like buy a new laptop and it is about 150 or more with the Microsoft and anti virus protection. My brother has the previous Microsoft and i need to buy the ani virus because e its almost due.
My question is is it worth buying the new Microsoft virsion.
Is there like a huge different between the new one and the previous one.

i was just about to download limewire to download songs but all i have is microsoft security essentials and windows defender as protection. So if by chance a song I download has/is a virus are my protection programs good enough to protect me and find the virus and remove it? I just don’t want to risk it as my laptop is new but i really need a way to donwload new songs.

I have just downloaded AVG and I love it. It cleaned out my laptop from any viruses, but just in case, I am thinking about installing Microsift One Care and using them together. Is it not recommended using two anti-virus protections at once, should I just pick one? Also, what else should I have, Firewall protection, Anti-Spyware? Thanks so much

Hi, I have Norton Antivirus installed on my laptop (Centrino duo and 2Gb RAM) and I noticed that when i installed it my laptop got really slow, takes ages to do anything. Is the Norton what is causing this? Should I get rid of it and get another antivirus? Which one?

I recently got a virus on my laptop from a fake program called “Malware Defense.” It has disabled my internet.

I tried running my computer in safe mode. I tried running Malwarebytes Antimalware. It was diabled. I tried running Windows Defense. It was diabled. I tried running SuperAntiSpyware. It was disabled. I tried running Norman Malware Cleaner. It was disabled. I tried running ATF Cleaner. It did nothing.

I tried to restore my system to an earlier date. System Restore is disabled.

I have no access to the internet, no working Anti-Virus Software. What the hell is this ****? A god damn super virus? There has to be a way to get rid of this crap. My laptop has been rendered unusable.

Someone HELP.

I need a secure site that I can download some stuff to remove viruses. I don’t want to have to take everything off my laptop to remove the virus. I recently got the "backdoor trojan" virus from something that downloaded. As soon as I found out it was on here, I got a "security toolbar 7.1" and it won’t go away. I have no idea why it’s there and I’m afraid to download anything in fear that it may be another virus in hiding. So any suggestions or sites that might help remove the virus would be good. I have the Norton Internet Virus protection, but it won’t remove the trojan virus. oh and I keep getting these pop ups even when I’m not online saying I have more spyware viruses and if you click on them a window pops up with a site to download a remover. I know from the last time I had a virus that I shouldn’t do that. So I have no idea what to do now.
