Best virus protection

I have NO clue how i got this virus. BUT IT NEEDS TO GO! if you know how to get it off my comp please help! Symantec Antivirus discovered it, but it can not be quarentine, repaired or deleted. It says it is a Trojan Virus.

Is it possible to get rid of a trojan or virus by just deleting the file and/or uninstalling it or do you need to remove it with a virus removal scanner/program? I have AVG already – I found out about the trojans through a symantec scan… AVG did not pick them up.

are ‘all in one security package software ‘ better or ‘indivdual antivirus‘ plus ‘adware/spyware’ removal better. PCworld rates Symantec Norton Internet Security 2006 tops among the others. any comments. thanks.
