Trojan.Brisv.A Virus Removal.?

I am concerned about this virus and contacted Norton who wants 0 to help me out, so thats not going to happen. This virus supposedly messes up media files, does that mean I have to delete all my movies and songs on my computer? Also, I downloaded the Trojan.Brisv.A Removal Tool from the norton website and it said that it removed the virus, but when I go to do another full system scan on Norton, it says that I am still infected. I have no idea what else to do, but I do not want this to spread. Please try and answer all of my questions and give me a reliable source. Thanks.
I dont know if this is still the Trojan Brisv or anything, but now it says on AVG under Infection category :" Virus identified Win32/PEPatch.AR"
That needs to be removed but how?

  1. You are infected with spyware if:

    * You see too much pop-up advertisements.
    * Your browser has toolbars that you haven’t installed.
    * Your homepage has changed (and you can’t change it back).
    * Other settings have changed without your permission.
    * Your computer is slow.

    To get rid of spyware and keep your computer clean you can use an antispyware or even more.
    You can download a antispyware software. There are 10 good anti-spywares.

    You can download one and scan your system.
    All are safe and can be trusted.

  2. Ugh, I just had that.

    Norton 360 took care of the virus for me. After you removed the virus, did you restart your computer?

    Sorry, I’m not much help. :/

  3. go to microsoft’s website and download their removal tool, you can also run a free avg, panda, or windows live scan and it should work. Never trust norton, they like money too much,

  4. You need to kill the process and the dll files attached to the trojan. You need to edit the msconfig and registry to stop it from loading startup. Here is a good tutorial:
