No antivirus or antispyware protection is perfect but a good mixture of the two will help you clean your system and hopefully keep it clean.

First of all update and run your own anti virus & anti spyware applications.

However, be advised that some infections will corrupt or disable your resident security products so here are a few online scans that may help you:
    Norton – http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/defau...
    Panda – http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/Ac...
    Trend – http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Next download, update and run a full scan using the following product:
    http://www.superantispyware.com/
SuperAntiSpyware will remove the majority of difficult Trojans not just the easy ones.

If possible it is recommended that you load the application in normal mode but run it in Safe Mode. Safe Mode can be started by continually pressing F8 during the boot sequence. However, if you are badly infected you might need to run SuperAntiSpyware more than once to help clean your system. If the only infections now being shown are in System Restore, once you are completely satisfied that you can boot normally, you can either delete the infected restore points manually, or temporarily turn off System Restore.

In addition I suggest you download, update & run Avira. Unlike a lot of the free antivirus applications this will give you real time protection and is very quick to load at boot up.

Assuming you have some real awkward infections and the suggestions above failed to finally clean your system I suggest you download a Smitfraud removal program from:
    http://www.afterdawn.com/software/desktop_software/desktop_security/smitfraudfix.cfm

Again if possible run in Safe Mode.

    Good luck & safe surfing.

  3. avast or spybot search and destroy

Okay this is what I would do.

I know you already have AVG. But go download
    Avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
its free.. Then instal and when its done installing its going
to ask you if you want to run a boot time scan
just select yes then its going to ask you to restart. Restart
and let it do its thing.

  5. Try to download Spybot: search and destroy.

    It will remove most Trojans

Search in Yahoo and pick the site from safer-networking .org.

The donation they ask for is optional.

Scan down and you will see the program listed. Click on the icon to download from one of the mirror sites.

    Install and update, then run.

When done, run again until you get a scan with no detections.

Then boot to safe mode and run you AVG from safe mode to make sure the program can not reinstall itself from a back up or system restore file.

  6. Try the Norton Spyware Scan from the yahoo toolbar. (Round yellow target icon.)
It’s free, updtes itself as needed, and finds most stuff. When it’s found, delete it from the options menu. I use it every other day, and keeps clean. The NEW Yahoo toolbar doesn’t have it though. You must revert to the old one if you have changed…

  7. yes, go to http://www.techguy.org, and then click on "forums" (upper left area), then on the forums page, scroll down to "Security" (the one that has to do with malware removal, etc). . and then when that one opens up, click around the top of the page to "register" (sign up, create a username and password so you can log in and post a problem). then, after you’ve registered, on the security forums page, click "post a new thread", or ‘start a new thread", or whatever it says. .

someone will answer back (both in the thread and you’ll get an email notification that you have an answer, and every time you get a response). . they’ll help you get rid of it (it may take some time, but answering back and forth with you, they’ll help you get clean. (they’re very sharp, and most of them do this for a living during their day jobs, and volunteer their help at this site when they aren’t working).

    Hope this helps
