Virus malware removal. Which is best?
A program has installed itself on my laptop and is forcing me to buy an anti virus. How can I get rid of it. It is called Your Protection. It keeps blanking out my screen. Can anyone suggest a free way to remove this annoying program?

Google "your protection malware" and see if there is a tool that specifically removes that malware (it probably is a Trojan). There really is no single malware tool that prevents and/or removes every malware out there. Some are better than others. Avast! is a free anti-virus tool for home users and I have been using it for over 3 years without any problems. There are some good spyware tools out there too but no single spyware tool prevents all of them. Cyberdefender is a good one, as is Spybot Search and Repair (it is free) is a good one too.

Search for and download "Process Explorer" and "Reg Seeker". Open process explorer and find the malware by name. And open Reg seeker and search for the malware executable in both the registry and file structure and delete all instances of it.
